Series: Identity in Christ
Our identity begins in God. We are made in His image. After His likeness. He formed us from clay, breathed His life into us. Too often we settle...
Our traditional services employ a classic style of Lutheran worship, featuring traditional hymns, often with organ and piano, within the Lutheran tradition. Lutheran worship emphasizes our historic Christian faith and biblical teachings, rooted in the core message of salvation through Jesus Christ and providing a blend of familiar liturgy and messages relevant to the Christ the King community today.
Christ the King’s contemporary services include guitars, keyboards, and drums along with talented, tight vocals to blend popular praise and worship songs alongside traditional hymns, creating an engaging, informal worship atmosphere for the congregation. By including relevant responses (liturgies) reflecting the worship life of the Church throughout all ages, our contemporary worship maintains a devotional, Word and Sacrament-focused service, always directed towards God’s work in our lives.
Offering an evening opportunity to worship during the week, this more informal intergenerational service brings together familiar worship elements with a more expository preaching style. Whether you can’t attend a Sunday worship or seek mid-week recharge, join us as we grow deeper roots in Jesus through Word and Sacrament as we connect with God and each other.
During the church seasons of Advent (leading up to Christmas) and Lent (leading up to Easter) our Wednesday services offer great opportunities to pause modem midweek and reflect on each season's meaning.
Can’t attend church in person? We live stream both our 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM worship services on Sunday mornings. Say "Hi!" in the chat room, add your prayer request, and sit back at home to enjoy beautiful music, thoughtful readings and prayer, and meaningful sermons.
